So Keres Europa?

From April 16 to April 21, we received the opportunity to assist a youth event in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Novi sad was the Youth Capital in 2019, and we spent one entire week talking, working and doing activities about the situation of Roma Community around Europe.

We were in Total 100 participants, coming from 10 different countries. 50% of the participants were Roma, which was really interesting. We could share and I personally learnt a lot during the project.

In the middle of the week, we had to split in 8 different groups to do workshops about the Roma Cause. I chose the Music Group, only because there was a really nice band coming from Hungary who looked very friendly and funny. We had to learn Roma song to present them on the last day, during the closing Festival of the project.

What a surprise (and I'm still trying to figure out how...) but the chef of the band asked me to be a soloist. Lucky me, I don't know any of the languages they are singing! I finally studied them by heart :D

The final day, the organisers sent us a location for the festival : such a wonderful place!! Our concert took place on a boat floating on the Danube!

This evening was wonderful, full of concerts, music, and we (the Romanian volunteers and our news friends) were dancing on the sand all the night.

It is impossible for me to explain it, but this experience was the best I had till now!

Of course,  we also visited the city which is really beautiful, and here is my favorite photo, my wonderful flatmates! 💜
